Hey guys! Welcome to The Whole Veterinarian. My name is Dr. Stacey Cordivano. Veterinarians are really good at the professional development thing and it goes without saying that we are hard workers who are beyond dedicated to our patients. We're not always so great at taking care of ourselves, though. I find myself searching for a way to give back to this community that I feel so strongly connected with and that I also feel is in dire need of new ideas. The problems facing veterinarians aren't going to be solved by any singular idea or group, so this is my shot at helping. The Whole Veterinarian podcast is about sharing my experiences, helping and educating others and starting a dialogue about how we can grow as people and professionals. I believe that this type of personal development will aid in making a happier and more whole veterinarian.
I would love if you would hit subscribe so you'll hear all about the new episodes and if anything I ever cover strikes a chord for you, please leave a review. Also, if you want to make sure to never miss an episode or any other tidbits that I share, please go to the website and sign up for our newsletter. Thanks for checking out the podcast and here's hoping we can all grow together.

Hey guys! Welcome to the Whole Veterinarian. My name is Stacey Cordivano.

Veterinarians are really good at the professional development thing and it goes without saying that we are hard workers who are beyond dedicated to our patients. We’re not always so great at taking care of ourselves, though.

I find myself searching for a way to give back to this community that I feel strongly connected with and that I also feel is in dire need of new ideas. The problems facing veterinarians aren’t going to be solved by any singular idea or group, so here is my shot at helping.

The Whole Veterinarian podcast is about sharing my experiences, helping and educating others, and starting a dialogue about how we can grow as people and professionals. I believe that this type of personal development will aid in making a happier and more WHOLE veterinarian.

OK, so, what’s the plan? I will be here learning with you. I will be here asking the questions, that, hopefully, you would want to ask. I will bring in thought leaders from other arenas and I will explain to them what makes us, as a group, different from other health care professionals. We will cover personal finance, parenting, wellness and much more. I will also highlight some veterinarians who are doing things a little differently. I’m not suggesting that I’ll find THE answer for all of us. I am hoping, however, that even just one topic might spark an idea for you to explore further.

You might be thinking, who is this chick and why does she think she should start a podcast? Valid question. As a female equine solo practitioner, mother to two crazy boys and business owner, I have seen the challenges that face us; from student loan repayment to attempting to find a healthy work/life mix to having a horse stall as the only option for a bathroom break! I want to talk about these real life challenges in a real life kind of way.

So that’s the goal. I want to thank you for taking the time to listen to this podcast, and even just this trailer. Time is our most valuable commodity and you know we never charge enough for it, so thanks again for giving some to me. I’d love if you would hit subscribe and if anything I cover ever strikes a chord for you, please leave a review!

I’ll be sharing weekly interviews starting on June 4th, so stay tuned!
